... alone

by @gabiloverar

2020 sent most of us home, never to return to the office / store / coffee shop / gym pretty much everywhere we used to like to be!

Amazing we all shouted ... no more weird stinky copier guy!

Well for me the pandemic was a little different, I was new to London and although me and my partner had been together (and lived together in Barcelona) for a few years, this was a whole new experience.

The romance of always being at home together with our cute puppy, talking long summer walks, watching our favourite movies soon evaporated. His work takes him all over the country and the pandemic meant his company was busier than ever after the first few months of lockdown.

Which left me home... alone...

It got to me at first, I was a real grumpy b**tch... until he encouraged me to follow my passion and Vita Vida was born! It wasn't (and still isn't) easy but I found some things to help me through and now I really love our home set up and our life more than ever.

Here's my top 5 tips for a healthier WFH life.

Go to bed and wake up at the same time everyday. Get into a routine. Your body will thank you for it.

H20 H20 H20

Drink water - as much of it as you can. It will help with everything. Your WFH skin, hair, mood, energy levels - pretty much everything. I am never far from my LARQ bottle :-)

Get up, and get outside (if you can). Take a walk, workout, go get coffee ... literally anything but move when you wake up and move throughout the day. Sitting there all day crouching over your Macbook like a prawn won't help your posture!

Set Meal Times

And stick to them.. girl gotta eat!

Get your protein carb and veggies balance right

(l will write a blog on this soon!)

Family + Friends

Your WFH, not dead. Make time everyday to facetime your closest family and friends (not all of them everyday otherwise you wont get the work bit done!)
